Hi Crystal, I would like to say that every little one grows at their own pace..I am a mom of 7 and everyone was quite differant. One thing I did with a couple of mine were to help them to develop their stomach muscles..just play a little game like silly faces..or giving kisses with them on their back and letting them pull them selves up holding onto your hands, this helps strenthen their muscles and they really enjoy the mommy time. God Bless

If she's hitting her other markers, don't worry. If not, call your pediatrician. She may just not do it, because you will do it for her. Do some exercises with her as the other mom suggested, and put toys she likes in places where she has sit up to get them. Just a thought. She will get there.

My 8 month old son can sit up unaided and although he tries to pull himself up, he can't actually do it! I wouldn't worry too much she'll get there when she's ready. :)

My second daughter was just like this.It was after the 8 months she could pull herself up to sit she also sat if put in the position by me before the 8 months but i found she still didnt have a strong sitting posture. She got there in the end and now is 14 months and walking all over the place strong and healthy so try not to worry but always say it to your doctor to be sure.:-)

im a mother of four and my children all sat up and crawled etc...at different times like for instance my first child walked at 8 1/2 months old, my third child sat up at 5 months old you just never know what they will do and when they will do it...i would suggest doing little exercises like dawn suggested and even sitting him up with pillows around his back and side......it will excite him being able to see that way and make him want to do it then he will start trying more....i found that it helped all my children!! good luck hope it helps!!!!
