I am a sahm of a 4 month old and pregnant with another. I have always been working and never needed to sit home. Now that I have a lo I have to and have nobody to hangout with due to the fact everyone around me works. I have no friends just family but if they come by we just sit here. I'm sick and tired of staring at the same 4 walls everyday. Any ideas to help me keep my sanity? My son hasn't been the easiest to deal with he had realty bad colic then started cutting teeth and now has a ear infection and the antibiotics the Dr has him on has cause diarrhea and he developed a rash from needing to be change all the time. My husband gets a break from it all and I Get to pack my boy around every where no matter what or just sit home. HELP¡!!!!

I am also a sham. My boys are 16 months apart and much bigger now, but I thought I was losing my mind, during diaper stages! Everyday, like clockwork, my boys were dressed (or in Jammies) and tossed into the stroller at 9:00 am. I would speedwalk for an hour to the coffee shop (put special toys, like cars or LEGO in the bag or bottom of stroller), get a coffee and newspaper, kids can have a bagel or oatmeal with you, and enjoy the 30 minutes of conversations around you. Haha. You'll be home by 11:30 am for lunch and naps! You may even get to know who the regulars are and make a friend. You'll feel great once you create the routine and your kid(s) will be happy too! Maybe family will meet you there for a coffee too, once in a while.
Ontario Early Years (child's free program) is a good place to meet with others too, if you're in Ontario. Public libraries are good too.

Hope this helps.
