My son has been taking concerta since he was diagnosed with adhd combined type at the age of 6 he is now 12, he started noticing it wasn't working so the Dr. increased the dosage, after 2 months that dose is no longer working. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do ? Thanks

If you would like to try some alternatives in addition our son uses supplements and has had good success. He was diagnosed in 4th grade and is now a sophomore in college. He takes supplements regularly and can feel the difference when he takes them and when he doesn't. You can message me if you need ideas on what to take or try. Hope you find some answers I know how frustrating it can be and the Dr having you wait to see if it builds in his system and changes? Hope you can find answers soon.

You need to stay in close touch with your doctor over the coming years. Hormones and puberty will affect ADHD medication - I see it a lot in young teens as they go through their teen years. It can take quite a lot of changes to medication during this time to find a balance with the new hormones the kids have. So what you are experiencing is pretty common, you just need discuss with your doctor.
