Advice on how to keep the peace

I am just beginning my 8th month of pregnancy, and I stay home with my 4-yo daughter. Being a SAHM and pregnant has been a huge adjustment for me. I haven't been able to do as much as my daughter and I were accustomed to doing. We spend more time than we used to at home, and it's starting to wear on my husband's nerves how messy the house has become.

I do the best I can. I take care oft he biggies and let stuff slide when I run out of energy. I've asked for more help.

This weekend, he invited a couple of guys over to celebrate his birthday. He went into crisis cleaning mode and threw out three garbage bags full of crafts and craft supplies. I like having the house more tidy, and I admit it was getting to be excessive, but what bugged me the most is that he threw away some of my stuff that I'd worked hard on rather than just my daughter's scribbles. When I mentioned it to him, he did not apologize. In fact, he complained that our house is becoming a "daycare center." I asked him what he was going to do when we have two running around here. He had no comment on that.

The fact is, I'm proud of how creative my daughter and I are together. I have spent a lot of time discussing the importance of cleaning up after yourself with her. I have implemented what I thought was an okay organization system. It's obviously been harder to maintain and keep up with in the past few months.

How would you advise I approach the discussion with my husband about this topic?

What organization systems work for you with your child's creations/art/work?

Why don't you find one room in the house that you can continue to do crafts with your daughter so as not to be in the way, not only will it be less mess for you to clean up but it would mean the majority of the house won't be cluttered.
Most of the time when i do projects with my kids i usually clean like a mad woman even when we are still in the middle of doing something LOL
