My 8 1/2 month old is not sleeping through the night anymore. He wakes up hungry, but eats plenty throughout the day. Here is his schedule....what else can I do??

8am - wake up
8:30 - breakfast (oatmeal & fruit)
9:00 - 4oz bottle
11:00 - nap (1 - 2.5 hrs)
1:30pm - 6-8oz bottle
2:30 - snacks/jar food/yogurt
3:30 - nap (1 hr)
5:00pm - dinner
6:30 - 6oz bottle
8:30 - 7-8oz bottle
bed

He eats a lot and just started this waking up in the middle of the night to eat more. It is hard for me to add more during the day. I have broken up the bottles to make sure he gets enough, because during the morning and afternoon he has started to refuse, but doesn't fill his stomach up other foods.

Thank you for your responses!! I do give him real food not just jars. He eats everything, but when he feeds himself he doesn't get as much so I try to throw in at least 1 jar of food. I have tried less bottles and adding more food and he was staying up later and still hungry. Still waking up in the middle of the night hungry. I am going to try oatmeal instead of that last bottle. Some days it is hard for me to get him to take even 20oz of milk, so I do give him more food. He is a very active 8 month old and doesn't like taking time to eat, but at the same time would eat all day. I try to give him things that will fill him up.

Try giving him something between the 6.30 and the 8.30 bottle. He is going to bed with just milk in his belly. You could probably cut out the 6.30 bottle or bring it down to about 4 oz and then about 7.30 give him something like applesauce w a couple crackers or something. Thats a lot of milk in a day so it wont hurt to cut him down a bit on that and bring in some more food. Sometimes you just gotta go with the baby. :) My girl doesn't eat a lot in the mornings, but really can chug it down at supper time! Each kid is different. If he isn't hungry during the day don't force it but let him eat in the evenings. Also you could try to like switch his meals to food and leave the snacks to the milk. He might need more solids and less liquid. Give him some food when he wakes up from his first nap.... just some thots....

try giving him more food rather then the bottles. like for dinner give him what your having and say a 4-6 oz bottle. same with lunch and it could just be that the bottles are not filling him up. if you want to try also his bottle before bed mix a little pablum in it so it sits a little heavier in his belly it might keep him fuler through the night
