Just wondering if anyone has a good/fun way to tell my husband that we are expecting our 2nd child. And when is a good time for telling other family and friends.

AWESOME! Congrats sweety... spectacular news! Have you guys been trying?? What I mean is the news isn't going to braodside him right? My man damn near fell off the bed when I told him but in his mind we weren't exactly trying (though I'm not sure how we weren't after discussing and deciding I'd go off birth control-- seemed a forgone conclusion to me)

you could try a theme'd dinner... baby potatoes, baby carrots, baby cabage (brustle sprouts) small mini meatloaf or steak... Erika's idea was a good one though if you plan on keeping the news quiet for a bit you'll have to hide that shirt LOL

or offhandedly say something like you'd talk to him any other day.. asking of his day or whatever and casually say something along the lines of "so daddy what would you like for dinner tonight, has to be something healthy"... or try making out a grocery list LOL-- this one is actually fun if your man pays attention to that sort of thing... milk, eggs, baby name book, cookies, ice cream, pickles LOL put it at eye level on the fridge and ask him to check and see if he can think of anything else you need.. might take him a minute or two or a little longer but it will nagg at the back of his mind for a bit.. if he doesn't get it inside an hour.. come up with something else

Pertaining to telling everyone else... it's one thing to tell hubbie right away.. but i'd wait to tell everyone else until the first trimester is over. The risk of miscarying is greatest in the first 12 -15 weeks so if you get over that hump its a little less worrysome...

My best mate wrote on her tummy hello daddy with a smiley face! I would not tell family members until you are past 10 weeks. Congratulations!

Hi Erika,

Pretty name! :-) Congrats on your pregnancy!
I had a shirt made for my son that said "Future Big Brother" or you can do "I'm going to be a big brother" It's up to you when you would like to tell your Friends and Family. I told everyone pretty much right away. I couldn't wait. It's such a blessing, and it's hard to keep such a wonderful secret.

Congrats again and best Wishes!
