I have 3 girls. My 1st & 2nd are 22.5 months apart and my 2nd & 3rd are 18 months apart. You having a girl already they are naturally tuned to be a lottle mommy to the new baby. I found thay having them almost 2yrs apart was a lot more manageable. I had my oldest potty trained by the time my 2nd child came along and it was great having only one in diapers. Also my oldest was a big helper as well. Fetching diapers, wipes, ect. And she was so happy to help. Having my 2nd & 3rd closer together I find it to be more demanding of a job. It is alot of work. It mau pay off as they get older being all girls hopefully they are close. But right now its a struggle. Hope this helps you! I would shoot for around 2 yrs apart.

Well if you started trying now, she would be a year and a half. She would likely still be in diapers and almost ready to potty train. Do you think you could handle a toddler and a newborn? It really is up to you and whether or not you want them to be close in age. My first two are 22 months apart. I like the age difference and they are fairly close.

I have two, my eldest was a year old when I got pregnant with my youngest and was 19 months when I gave birth (3 weeks early). At first it was difficult as I choose to bf so my daughter (youngest) was with me constantly but as soon as I could I made the effort to spend at least half hour doing an activity with my son (eldest).

Now my daughter is 4 1/2 months old and it's lovely to see them playing together, well talking really as she can't move yet. My son loves having a little sister so much.

When we found we was pregnant we made sure to include our son, even though he didn't understand a lot. We always refered to the baby as our baby not just mine and his daddy's, we helped him pick a present for the baby and baby got him a book. We also worked on learning gentle as he is very boisterous and he is relatively gentle with her. I think as long as you make sure not to exclude your child it is really great for them to have a sibling so close in age, my son really does love it :-)
