Hello, My daughter is 4 years old, and my husband is not wanting her to go to public school. She is in my Church's School program right now, but that ends after Kindergarden. We were thinking about Private School, but we can't afford it now. Any help on the Home Schooling end would be appreciated.

Thanks.  She has a lot of friends right now, but I'm not sure what will happen when they all go to different schools.  I know that around here even the homeschooled children can play on the sports teams and stuff.  I really wanted to put her into private school, but we just can't afford it right now.  Maybe we can in the next 2 years... But I have to keep my options open.

There are so many homeschooling choices now!  Be sure if you do, to look up all of your state laws and requirements.  There is a homeschool legal group, Home School Legal Defense Association.  www.hslda.org Their website has a lot of resources. Also if you do be sure to give her some outside activities, sports, craft group etc. to help her make friends.

We looked into Homeschooling too and still haven't decided either way, but I found lots of books on homeschooling at our local library (just ask the librarian to help you find them).

Here is a web page that has lots of lnks to homeschool resources online (it's from Josh and Anna Duggar's website, Josh's parents - Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have 18 children and homeschooled all of them!): http://www.ja20.com/links2.html

Hope you'll find these helpful.  Good Luck!
