My 5yr old daughter has been complaining for some time now about pain in her bones, particularly her feet, knees, wrist and of late her upper forearm. Upon researching on the internet, the symptoms displayed can be as a result of Osteosarcoma or Ewing's sarcoma.

I don't want to be right, I want to be far from this.........but she has displayed some of the symptoms. I am now trying to schedule an appointment at an orthopedist's office for a definite diagnosis.

I hope I am wrong, wrong, wrong !! :-(

Does she complain more while she is going through a growth spurt? I know when I was little until I stopped growing I would cry everytime I got taller for days because it hurt so bad.

Hopefully it is nothing too serious!!

Of course there are lots of reasons for bone pain, most chalk up to growing pains. Both of my daughter's had that. However, I just need to say that extreme bone pain can be something else. As example, on several occasions in adolescence my one daughter had a few episodes of extreme pain. Once it was in her feet, so bad she came home from a day w her friends and was in tears her feet hurt so badly. Excruciating pain. Next time it was her forearms and wrists, crying in pain. Now I don't know if this was directly related but she was later diagnosed w a form of non Hodgkin's lymphoma called Burkitt's Lymphoma. It is a super fast growing cancer. Before she was diagnosed she was getting night sweats also, very tired, lost weight etc. she is totally cured now ( this was five years ago) 4 months of brutal chemo cured her. Those few episodes of bone pain may or may not be related but it was so odd and when it happened I came seeing bone cancer on google. The reason I'm on this site right now is my younger daughter just came downstairs complaining of terrible bone pain, asked for aspirin and my heart went in my throat. So starting looking online for innocent reasons for bone pain in a 12 yr old. Ugh

My 7 year old daughter complains of her toes and leg aching and will want to try and crack her toes. She goes so far as to punch her leg as if that would relieve the discomfort. I think I figured out that this happens when she is in need of a new pair of shoes. I have two other children and they've never had this issue. Why do you ask about bone cancer? Has your child had/has that or is it a fear for your child?
