Not really. My son developed an anal fissure because of them. Try to give your boy more fibre and lessen the milk and milk products. Prunes help in a big way too.

Every once in a while it is okay but not constantly. I'm not sure how old your child is but if they are over 6 months you could give him some prunes baby food or gerber makes some apple prune juice. If he is younger then 1 oz of water and a tsp or dark karo syrup (has to be the dark kind). You can give then the syrup mixer once a day for a while until he is back to normal. I hope this helps.

i actually just read an article on poop yesterday, funny that you should ask. babycenter.com is a great resource any question. go to the site and type in poop, you will get more than you ever wanted to know... including pictures!! :) i believe it said, hard pellet like poop could mean constipation. good luck!

Sorry i didn't really mean to say normal as such, just more does anyone know what it could be caused by and is it a huge issue?? And he is not in any pain doing them.....
