as soon as my little man could pull himself up to standing position i changed him from his cot to a camping cot out of fear of him hurting himself- he's 15mths old now and still in it until i decide to make the normal cot into a toddler bed for him. good luck :)

Hi Sally,
Like the other ladies said, a crib with a bumper works wonders!! My lil boy is 1 and constantly bangs his head, but we have a mesh breathable bumper which helps a little bit with that!!
best of luck x x

What's a cot? Is that like a bassinet? A pack n' play is a good idea, only the corners are hard, the rest is mesh. Could you hang a plumpish blanket over the end of his bed to cushion it a little? Crib with bumpers would work too, lots of room there. Good luck.

I feel for you!! Have you ever tried a playpen? They are soft on the sides!?!?! I honestly don't know. My daughter just turned one and sleeps well in the crib, it has the bumper pads. She also slept very well in our playpen when we were out of town. Good Luck!!

Umm, what about switching him to a Crib? hes probably getting to big for that. I would switch him to a crib and put bumper pads on there.
