My oldest was 11 months, she just pushed me away when I would try and nurse. My son was 15 months but he only nursed before naps and bed. I stoppes him when I found out I was having #3. And my youngest will be 1 next week and juat nurses to take naps and go to bed. My point being, you ans or baby will know when it's time to stop. Good luck!

it's really up to you and I think you will know when it is time. A lot of moms stop when babies start getting all their teeth or their milk is going away. I stopped at 7 months with both of my kids as they were eating more solids and I only breast fed them in am and before bed. My milk slowly started drying up and I just let it be.
My belief is that by 12 months it's enough, seems a bit uncomfortable (odd) to me to be breast feeding a toddler who is walking and nearly talking but that's just me. Use your own intuition. If you enjoy that time with your baby, go with it, if you feel you are chained down and lack your freedom, then start slowing down by cutting our the midday feeding.
Good Luck!

Chelsie,
I would suggest letting your little one lead the way. As long as you stay tuned in, you will know. Please don't let others pressure you into making a decision that may not be right for you and your child. The longer they nurse, the healthier they tend to be.
Best of luck!

Whenever you feel it is right. With my daughter, right before she turned 2, I just knew it was time. I would get irritated if she latched to nurse and she got difficult to nurse as well, flipping around and wiggling like crazy. I just knew I was done.
