It varies for al children, but mine all had some formof nap or rest time until they went to school...but it also it depends on how busy they are during the day...I found that with my kids on the days where we had kindy, playing at the park, walks etc they were most likely to enjoy rest time...on days where we didnt really do anything they really wernt tired enough. Ive always made it a point to take the kids for decent walks etc because I found if they didnt have a good rest during the day they would be crabby later.

Instead of nap time, we changed it to quiet time. My 3yo and 5yo have at least 1hr of quiet time every day. They may play quietly in their rooms during this time.

Hi, I have three daughters, 18, 27, and 15. yes it is normal. When my first daughter quit taking naps, My mother-in -law told me to just let her go, that if she needed a nap she would fall asleep and sure enough, while she was playing I looked over and she had fallen asleep on the floor. The more you try to make them the more the will want to stay up....Good Luck...take care. Melanie

Totally My daughter did the same and its a little frustrating. But if her body needs a nap she will take one. My daughter started pre k and just started taking a quick 15min rest shell lay still not really napping but shes quiet so its nice. Hope this helps but it is completely normal for her to not want to nap.
