What do you?.. I have 6 1/2 month old with two bottom teeth one on top with another one breaking through on the top as well.. He just started grinding them together a few days ago randomly.. The noise makes my teeth hurt! When you tell him it isnt good for him and make him stop.. he will but a few hours later he will do it again..

I agree with Louise. I spoke to my doc and it's a teething thing. Babies teeth vs. adults because I understand we couldn't bear the pain..and to think we gave birth there is something worse??'s a form of releasing the pain and putting pressure on their teeth and the gums. It's ok. Going to the Dentist is a good thing though too. I have 3 kids..1yr, 2y & 17y...with my 17y I gave him a toothbrush that I'd wet and leave in the freezer for a period of time. It helps numb the gums and massages them as they twirl it around in their mouth and gets them use to using the brush. Good luck.....I know it's hard to hear.but this too shall pass! Big Hugs!

This is quite common. Your baby is just testing his teeth out as they feel foreign to him. He will stop when the other teeth have emerged. Try and give him something to chew on like part cooked carrot and this should stop him for a while. Do not tell him off as this will make him do it more to get a reaction out of you. He will stop!

oh yuck!! lol i hated that..both my boys did that at about the same age as yours..ugghh that noise drove me nuts.. its a phase things, they discover it and go with it for a while then it gets boring, they move on lol.. idk i would do what you were saying you did.. i would try to distract them but it just came down to them getting over it themselves.. i know is annoying right
