Unless your pediatrian tells you to do so its not a good idea. Babies that young cant digest anything other than formula/breastmilk and by giving them other things you are risking things like severe constipation/vomitting.

It is recommended that the earliest you start infant cereal (mixed with ONLY b-milk or formula) is 4months, and jar foods no earlier than 6months.

If your child seems to not be getting enough b-milk/formula you may want to try increasing the amount you are giving them.

I started my twins on cereal at 3 months and food at 4. u hear "don't do it until their 6 months" from everyone, but they needed it and my pediatrician said to start as well. Go for it, it won't hurt.

nope, not too young-- 3 months is the minimum age you can start feeding them baby food. My 5mth old loves baby food and applesauce- no juice though, they're still too young for that. It can cause tooth decay. You're doing great!

i started my son on cereal when he was two months old and food when he was three months. i think there is not a set time, every child is different. my son wouldn't fill up on the milk and he would constantly be hungry so we started with baby food and it worked miracles, lol. so no, i don't think it is too young. if she can handle it and doesn't choke on it i say go for it.
