Baby gate recommendations?

Does anyone have recommendations for dependable baby gates? We are moving to a new house with multiple levels so I will need something that's reliable. I would prefer one with a door instead of having to climbing over, but i also don't want to go broke. Please help!

I started out with the ones where they are freestanding and pressure pointed to the doors. They worked fine until my son started walking. Then they were HORRIBLE. He always pushed them over, & climb on it since they had like a diamond shape. It was a constant battle!!! It was also very annoying for me as I'm short and could not climb over it. I always had to take it down & put it back up urgggg!

I got fed up, went out and bought a awesome gate that screws into the wall & it swings open & closed. It also had a smooth texture so he couldn't climb over it OMG what a life saver!!!!!! I've never had a problem since... it was DEFINETLY worth the money! The brand was "the first years" go here to see it:

If you have alot of the house to cover with a low budget, I would suggest looking on used website in your area. Garage sales, or used baby stores. You can find them in brand new condition & be paying 50% less, or more than what you would buy them for in a store!!!

i have a evenflo gate that opens like a door. it is kinda hard to open at times but it does stay on the wall well it has stoppers that you tighten up against the wall. we bought it at i think target or walmart for like 25.00$. i hope this helps, God Bless you and your family.

Just dont buy the ten dollar one that walmart sells. It lasted a WEEK in my house. Next payday I will be buying a more expensive one. The ten dollar one is in the top of my can waiting for the garbage pickup. I wasted that money :(
