My baby will be 8 months on Christmas. I would like some ideas for gifts, traditions, etc... to do for her first Christmas.

I bought a couple of baby's first christmas ornaments, stocking, and I also bought her a cute long john from that says Abby's First Christmas on her bottom. It's too cute. I would suggest that you look at and select her age group to help you find some toys that would be best for her.

Hope this helps a bit.

Im going to make ginger bread houses and baking cookies with my daughter when shes old enough. Im also going to give her a special ornament and snow globe every year. She will be 6 mos and I just got her some bath toys and an electronic ball that lights up and makes noise when it rolls. Im sure shell be getting enough toys from everyone else. She obviously wont remember it, but I still want her to open presents and actually enjoy them, instead of giving her clothes. I have a baby einstein tunnel that she absolutly LOVES and it would be great for an 8 mo old. I will also help promote crawling if she isnt already. Its pretty cheap too, if I remember correctly it was around 30 bucks. Im also gonna put her in special xmas pjs.

Hiya Tessa,
My lil boy will be 8 months too. He has been pretty spolit by his grandparents and aunties/uncles for toys but we have pretty much bought him stuff to help with JoVonne said..a lot of toys that get him to stand/walk and also counting / spelling toys..never too young to learn that sort of thing :)

Hi Tessa
A few things we do in our home is our children get new clean pj that they open the night before and we put one small toy in the gift. We also buy a our children a new Christmas ornament every year to celebrate every year we are together. So for your little one it would be Baby's First Christmas ornament. One year my son loved Transformers so I bought a Transformer ornament and placed that date on bottom so we know that year the kids got the ornament. This year my son love club penguin and bakugons so this is going to be a change this year and my youngest loves trains.
Another thing is keep it simple don't over load your little one with too many gift. My son loves his ride em truck which is also a walker he is now 2.5 years old and he still rides it. Oh don't forget cookies and milk for Santa.
Have a Great Christmas.
