My 11 month old ran a fever (101-104.2 F) for three days. We took him to the doctor last Monday and they confirmed he had influenza A. His fever went away and by Wednesday he was completely normal in every way. Now he has a fever again, beginning last Saturday night. We didn't give him any fever reducers or medication, just lots of breastmilk, bone broth and other fluids. His fever is 101.5 - 102.3 F. Any ideas on what this could be? Could he still be battling the flu? He's been playing and acting normal, just not eating much solid food. Could this be a secondary bacterial infection? I'm really worried...

My daughter (8 months at the time) was diagnosed with the flu and ran a fever a while after her health returned. It could b remnants of the flu...for ours she was also teething at the same time so the fever could have also been from that.

Sounds like he is still battling the flu. It can last awhile, go away, and come back. I would give a fever reducer again if he still has it.
My daughter went through something like this but at age 2. Her fever would be off and on but her appetite was non-existent for like a week.
If it keeps continuing maybe take him in again, but I would continue with the fever reducers for sure.
