Hello! I'm new to this site. I'm a first time stay at home mom and I'm pretty much winging it. My son is 2 months old and won't sleep alone! I don't know what to do. I've slept with him for the last 2 months and although I love bonding with him I need time to do things like shower or eat. He doesn't just need me at night, it's all the time, every nap! I started putting him on his belly and it worked wonders the other day. He took five longs naps all by himself but it seems as the days go on he's getting worse about it. Please help!

By the way I'm breastfeeding. If that helps lol!

Actually, I think the fact that you're breastfeeding is a factor. My daughter cried all the time too, because she wanted to use me as a pacifier so I co-slept for like a week. My daughter also hated being swaddled. I was so scared that I'd squish her that I put her in the bassinet next to my bed and left my hand on her belly all night. She cried much less and I think she felt comforted. That really helped me. My daughter never took the pacifier. Now my daughter is 2 and 2 months and has been sleeping her crib for about 1 1/2 years and I can't even get her to cuddle me in my bed, she just wants to jump on it, LOL.

Actually that would make sense that you're sensitive to his crying...I was extremely sensitive to it...I couldn't stand hearing my daughter cry...I felt awful, aggravated and sad when I heard her cry, I felt like I was a bad mom that something was wrong...etc. However, today she's 2...lol...I know she's a drama queen and I know real crying when I hear it!

I've tried swaddling him but he cries hysterically whenever I do it. I have a snuggler but he doesn't like it either. When we brought him home I put him in his bassinet and he cried hysterically until we held him.
