forgot to say middle child was 20 months when i stopped feeding her,its the comfort and control of the situation they like ,when they can have simalor but with bottle not such a change for the. With my youngest stopped feeding at22 months, the day his sister started reception was the day i stopped,i just stopped and refused to give in lasted two days with the fighting him off then he lost interest and asked for a bottle or a cup.

having fed three kids myself and had the same problem over and over i simply stopped feeding refused to give the breast and persiveard, one method that did help though was to slip a bottle in while feeding ,detach baby and as the try to latch back on hold the teet near your nipple as you would when placing the real one in but replace keep baby close and let them feel breast on cheek may take a few tries but did work with my middle child

I would try a sippy cup instead...maybe just give him one to play with and mouth before putting anything in it. Once he's used to it add some milk and see what happens. If you do use a bottle, I've had success with both Nuk and Avent brand bottles/nipples after breastfeeding my two daughters. Good luck to you!

It took time for my daughter to take to the bottle after breast feeding.. I was just persistant.. Elezabeth's idea about changing teets is a good one.. Nuk have a wide neck which I find is pretty close to a nipple..

I know some moms went from the boob straight to a sippy cup instead of a bottle. Have you thought about that? Both my boys were using sippy cups at 1 years old. I breastfed but my son took to the bottle after wards.

maybe try another type of nipple, one that is shaped like the breast and soft is good, then start feeding him when he is the hungriest, after a good nap... good luck
