does anyone have any ideas on how to stop Robbie, 12mo, screaming through EVERY bath/shower/swim/getting wet? toys dont help, or does being in my arms. he cries for 30-60mins afterwards because it is so traumatic.

My son is like this and has been basically his whole life. He's 16mo now and its getting better, he will play in the water until its time to wash his hair and thats when he flips.

For awhile I just sponge-bathed him, he was on a monitor when he was an infant so I got pretty good at it but as he got older and more mobile it was harder to do that.

I talked to his dr about it because for awhile there it was just so hard to give him a bath that most times I just didnt want to. She suggested (and this is what I did for a long time) to just wash him and get him out. He slowly learned to play in the water and likes to now. I bathe him in the kitchen sink and I think that helps some because he's not sitting in a huge tub, I think its more comfortable for him.

Good luck hon.
