I agree with Kristin, but would add one more thing. Maybe she feels like her crib is really big and feels unsafe. Maybe try and find a way so see feels like it is smaller therefore more comforting because she had you guy's so close to her while she slept.

First touch your bed, now go touch her bed. Feel the difference. Second, there is the scent of you and dad all over your bed, she knows it isn't where she usually sleeps.

Take a night shirt of yours that you have been wearing for a while and lay it out in her bed. Also, no more to sleep, she needs to be nodding off but not fully asleep when you put her down. Then, just stay with her if she needs you. Then ignore the impulse to pick her up again. She will probably really protest this. But after several (or not, she may just do it) nights, she will adjust to the new bedtime routine.

It is okay if they fuss for 5 to 10 minutes. It's the hysterical for more that isn't good.

If she just won't do it, don't worry about it too much. Our oldest co-slept until he was almost 3. Here is the funny thing. As much as we eventually wanted him out, we missed him once he was in his own bed. So, it does come with time.

i am against CIO...however i wanted to get my daughter to sleep in her own bed and fall asleep on her wown..i would give her her bath, read to her, sing to her, and givve her kisses, give her her blankie and rattle and put her down while awake...she cried while in her bed so i sang to her patted her head and talked ot her til she fell asleep but i did not pick her up. two weeks into this she started just playing with the rattle til she went to CRYING!!!! i was consistent and it paid off.. however i found this right for me and my baby it may not be for you and your baby. good luck momma

My 7 month old was doing this everytime we put her to sleep. She has never slept in our bed but still wouldn't sleep in her crib very long at a time. Eventually I had to let her fuss until she fell asleep. I hated to do it but she only fussed for about 10 minutes and she fell asleep and slept all night long.
