My son who is 7 still wets the bed occasionally. Any suggestions? I don't let him drink before bed and he goes potty right before going to bed.

i have a 7yr old girl who still wets i took her to a local bed wetting clinic and they run some test and told me that she's got a irritable bladder and since taking the medication they gave her the wetting is getting less and less.

Thank you both. I was kind of thinking just like you Jackie but just checking if anyone had any secret formulas for it to stop. My mother was 10 before she stopped. I guess we'll just wait it out.

I completely agree with Jackie. It is completely normal. Both my sister and my male cousin had the same problem. Sometimes there are psychological issues that cause bed wetting. Make sure there's nothing going on at school that you don't know about that could be making him feel insecure or upset. Other than that, I'm sure it will pass :)

Not sure if you have spoken to your family doctor about this or not. But I can tell you its perfectly normal. The fact its occasionally I would say its not a medical issue or emotional. Children can wet the bed for no reason up until the age of 12-13 especially boys. They just sleep so deeply and don't get the same sensations when they have to pee as us adults do. I would definitely make sure he doesn't feel bad about it and if you are concerned about the bedding maybe by him those new night time boxer shorts. This should pass with time.
