Any suggestions on how to get a 2 year old to bed without his bottle of milk ? He is still in a Crib but want to get into a bedtime routine. ? Any suggestions ? Seems like a struggle every night and what is a good time to get him I bed?

I have a 19 month old who still sometimes struggles at naps and bedtime. My mom says it is because she is worried she will miss something fun. haha I started her on a routine for bed time about 3 months ago and it seems to be a huge help. What I do is put her to bed right around 6:30. Our routine is at about 5:45 or so we eat dinner that way her tummy is nice and full. Then we go and take a nice warm bath and I let her play just a little bit, who doesn't want to splash. After that I use the Johnson and Johnson bedtime lotion on her and tell her that it is time to be quiet because all the babies are getting ready for bed. We then comb hair, clean ears, brush teeth and put on our jammies. I read her one book and I give her a sippy cup with water. She took to her sippy cups pretty easy and although switching to water was difficult the first few days she seemed to pick it up quickly. This usually works most nights unless she is sick or too wound up. =) Hope this helps.
