Sometimes, lately a lot of the time, feel lazy. I still accomplish things I need to do but find myself sying in my jammies and feeling lazy. I wake at 6:30 and get my son off to school and husband off to work. Once my son is off to school I usualy watch some TV, check things on the computer and sometimes fall back asleep. I usually get "going" around 9:30 and wake my daughter around 10. I have very little extra cash so oing out and doing something enjoyable is a rare treat. What things do you other SAHMs do during the day?? I am feelig bored, lazy and depressed. Thanks.

start by getting dressed and brushing your hair and washing your face when you get up, before you do anything else. This is your job. this is what you do. Put yourself first, then look after the next job.

Are you eating a balanced diet? Make sure you're eating a proper breakfast and wise snacks. Food is our fuel, it's the only thing we get our energy from.

Can you get out to a library? a park? an art museum? pick a different free thing for 3 or 4 days a week and use the other days to tackle a bigger, not for everyday, job at home. Is there an aged people's home anywhere? ask if you can visit lonely people.

Your daughter's the same age as mine. When is she going to bed? to be getting up at 10? Anyway, nevermind that, really, anything that starts with you saying "Let's.....together" will b e a winner. You could get dinner organised right after breakfast and do all the washing up at once, then the afternoon 'busy' time can be with your kids and not in the kitchen so much and so stressful.

Just some ideas. I was a bit aimless and then started looking at Flylady.net and now feel a bit more professional about my role as Mother. We don't have a great wage, as a family and have to be sensible, but money never seems an issue with us.

How old is your daughter. Maybe you guys can go for walks or maybe to parks. It's also fun to try new recipes like baking. Maybe start a mommy and me class and get some play dates. Best of luck.

I agree with the last post about getting yourself dressed and ready in the morning. This will make you feel so much better and want to do more through out the day.

I've just recently started making a schedule for myself where i have certain times to do housework, play time and making food etc so that I feel more accomplished. Everything is getting done now and I even have time for myself in the evening.

It's also a good idea to find any free events in your area, you might even meet some new friends! I'm not sure what's available around you (I'm in southern Ontario) but we have play centres that only cost about $5 to get in (these are basically indoor jungle gyms). Or we have something called Ontario Early Years Centres. This is a free program where you bring your child and there are toys, games and painting stations set up for the kids to use. Check out any rec centres in your area, you would be surprised how much they having going on at little or no cost.

Going to the park every day or even just a walk is beneficial for you and your child to get out and enjoy the fresh air. I hate cold weather but I notice how much fun my son has just getting out and exploring that I've just learned to bundle up! Your child will appreciate the time spent together and you're using up time in your day and getting a bit of exercise.

Do crafts together or even get her to help you do every day chores. They may take a bit longer but if you have the time then why not?

I hope this gives you some ideas :)

I get lazy too, Sometimes sleep in till 10-11 and always tell myself I am going to get up early lol So you are not the only one.

I get everything done, apartment cleaned, clothes folded, then around 3:40 kids are home and getting there Home work done.

Sometimes it's like same thing different day, and it gets old. But messing around on the computer, watching movies and talking to Family helps out alot.

My daughter is 3. We do parks and stuff like that just now that the weather is turning outside is wet and muddy and soon will be snow filled. I am thinking of maybe joining a MOPS group.
