my son will be 2 in 3 weeks and i need to decide what to do for his bday. I had a huge party for my eldest sons 2nd bday but I almost feel like now that I have 2 this is really the last year we will be able to do our family and close friends. soon they will want to have their friends and want their parties at places like chuckie cheese or whaever. do you think its wrong of me to be kinda cheap for his second bday considering i went all out for my first childs second bday?and any ideas?

I dont think its bad to go cheap. and i dont think your child would really know the difference or get mad that you didn't spend as much on his 2nd bday as his siblings. just as long as he has fun and lots of cake it will good for him. i only have one kid and i am learning that you cant please everyone at once so as long as you and you husband and kids are happy that's all that matters. if others dont like it too bad. but that's just our opinion.

it is definately ok to do a little cheaper. He is just turning 2. He won't remember any of it. If he is like my son who will be 2 in about 5 weeks he will just be as happy as can be to have grandma's, aunts, uncles, and cousins there to play with. For my son's b-day, I am making my own cake (like I always have for all my kids) I'm not the greatest decorator, but it's fun to be creative and I am gettng better. I will also have a small meal like sandwiches, chips and other little things, then have a blast watching all the kids run around our house playing together. If you spend a ton of money and go all out, it is alomost a waste, because the only ones that will notice will be the guests and not the most important person, your son.
