Beats me - I just know how sore it is so out of sympathy for both your small babies I'd suggest letting them know that it's sore and not okay to do - hence the suggestion of telling the 'biter' to bite their own arm that hard...

Oh lol sorry. I thought that why my son was biting, but he could be perfectly happy playing or looking at his books and then out of the blue he just turns around and bites the baby. So i really dont have a clue lol

Adele - sorry that was a joke! It would only be as an indication to the 'biter' as to how damn sore a bite is! I did not have my kids biting each other but they both used to bite me - it wasn't a hard, sharp bit but more of a slow biting down when they felt afraid or over-stretched by a situation - what I did was teach them the words they didn't have at that stage of their lives. I think kids bite because they don't have the right words yet.

I have to same problem with my children. My 2 year old keeps biting my 5 month old!! I have tried so many things, and none of them work. Although i wouldnt advise biting them back as my son then thought that it was okay to do it.

Seeing as how it's not your child I can't say bite her back!! LOL!! But I'd tell her to bite herself that hard... she'll no doubt be shocked you could suggest such a thing and say no, then explain that if she knows it's not going to be nice for her then it's definitely not nice for another!
