I think I know what you're going through. My baby is 8 months old and is just now a good eater of food. At 6 moths old we started offering baby cereal and baby food, he would take 2 bites and be done. This is how it's been for 2 months and just now my son decided he wanted to eat and oh my god, he is an eating machine all of a sudden. He was an exclusively breastfed baby up until we started giving him food so I think he just liked the momma juice too much :)
I wouldn't worry if you're baby is still gaining weight, just give him time to figure it all out ;)

yes it is normal try putting finger foods in front of him things he can pick up for himself and eat,if hes not interested give it a bit longer and try again try looking through the breastfeeding moms communities for more advise on this,if you are giving breast milk your child doesnt realy need to wean yet.My youngest child could not take pureed food would only eat foods he could chew on so give a go.good luck
