Bored during the day...:)

My DH is currently stationed in Korea and I am the SAHM of 3 children. Our youngest is in preschool 4 mornings a week and I am sooooooooooo BORED! I thought I would love having time to myself to workout, run errands, "nap" LOL, but I am lonely without them. What are some fun things you all do to keep busy if you have your days to yourself? I know many of you have young ones and are ALWAYS busy, I am actually missing those days!

Hi Cami,

Have you thought of starting a home based business where you work your own hours, earn what you want to earn and still have time to spend with your family? I work for a company that refers new customers to purchase products that are safer, eco friendly and better for your family and I absolutely love it. There are no direct sales involved, you don't have to worry about taking orders and filling them for the customers as they can do it all themselves online or over the phone. It is Risk Free, there is no large investment and right now there are major bonuses for starting with this company.

If your interested or would like more information on either the company or the products then go to this link and send in your contact information and you will be contacted right away with more details.

Volunteer at an animal shelter or somewhere.

You can contact a nursing home in the area and see if there are any very lonely people you can maybe connect with. Sometimes just having coffee with someone every morning or a couple times a week can really make someone's it makes you feel good about yourself. Who knows you may find a friend.

Have you considered a part time job or volunteering? I'm sure your kids' teachers would LOVE to have someone run off papers or file papers or do bulletin boards or even read to the class. (As a former teacher, I begged parents to do these things!) That way you can still see your kids during the day. Or substitute teaching is a good option. That way you are not obligated to a job if your family needs you at home, but it gets you out of the house (and earning a little extra money!)

I read and crochet. I'm also going to start writing (not specifically for publishing, but you never know) and getting into drawing again. My family members (mom, sis, cousins, aunts) make baby blankets and blankets for people we know with cancer (we've only done it for people we know because it takes so long) and friends.
