your best bet with trying to change her style of bottles is to go out and buy one. Give it to her for awhile. Wash it out after every use, She wont like it right away for she is use to other kind. I find that it took my children almost a wk of giving them the drop in type for them to be like....ya ok i can use this. And really those ones are so much easier to clean and stuff like that.

Why waste the money on more bottles??? Invest in a couple of "Big Birl" sippy cups. Your daughter will take to the change as long as you rid the entire home of any old baby bottles. She will be so proud of herself, and you'll find out that taking a leap of faith wasn't so scary after all.

Cynthia thank you for the advice .. I have bought a drop in bottle and she has ad a day with it and is taking it well so that works for me lol .. I would have switched to cheap bottles but the nipples are so different that there would have been no chance of her taking them ..and thanks for telling me about your son with the sippy. My oldest was drinking from her sippy by 10 months and off her bottle by 14 months so they are defently two different people my girls the youngest has been a slow starter for everything she didnt start eating her baby food til she was 7 months old because she would always break out in rashes and the dr said to take it slow .. so they way i figure it as long as she doesnt still have her bottle and suckie by the age of 2 we are all good lol

i tryed to swich the nipples and they leak try to see if she will take the cheap bottles so that u save money and those as long as u get the basic nipple they fit in any of them. as far as the sippy my son didnt go off the bottle till he was 18 mons old and that was only cause like you i had a hard time getting him to take the cups and i tryed all of them and no luck. take her off if possible at least by 18 mons so that gives u time to try the sippy agian it took me like 100 times before my son took his so dont fret over those that are all about the sippy at that age every child is different that is my advice that i would try cheap is more diverse for the nipples and easier to find them for a little of nothing and will yeild more to get and have on hand.

as others have said I would buy one and try it. I use both with my son, and the ones I have i can't switch the nipples, but then again I haven't really tried. Good luck!

I have tried switching nipples in bottles and it didn't work for us. The nipples would collapse. But if that isn't the case it would be up to your daughter and whether or not she would drink from it. It could also leak. But I would suggest trying the NUK soft nipple sippy cup, you may be surprised, she may like it, and with the handles she may hold it as well.

I know you have been trying sippy cups for months but ( if you haven't yet ) through out all bottles and just have sippy cups. If she is thirsty enough she will drink from it.

You can just NEVER go back and forth ( not even once ) b/c once you do thats it, she knows she can crack you .

I know your daughter is not close to weening from the bottle, but there are many different sippy cups that make tops that are VERY close to the bottle nipples. I would do some looking and find out if you could find some that are close to the nipples she now has. This may help her transistioning from bottle to sippy when the weening process takes place.

My daughter took a pacifier. When she was 2 yrs old we made a rule that she could only have it at nap or bedtime. I did not mind her having it those times at that age. She started to bite on her pacifiers and was starting to wreck all of them. I was tempted to buy new ones and almost did, but I knew that as soon as I bought new ones she would bite through them also. Eventually she would have to suck on them differently because of how they would feel in her mouth. This then led to her drooling more when she had her pacifire in, which then made her chin chapped and sore. One day I told her that if she did not suck on her pacifire then her chin would feel better. So she stopped and never wanted one since then. It was a very easy transistion and she was able to do it on her own. I think that could be the same transistion with the bottle to sippy by not buying another kind of bottle, but buying a sippy that is similar to the bottle.

hmmm...what kind of sippys are you using? Nuby makes a sippy with a soft silicone like spout kind of like a bottle nipple...maybe she would take that for you?? Will she drink anything from a sippy?

Since the bottle brand and nipple brand are different chances are they will not work together but you could buy a bottle and try it. If it doesn't work you could always try her with the nipple that comes with the playtex bottle chances are she will take it. You could however take this opportunity to introduce her to a sippy cup and begin the weening process. Good luck whatever path you decide.

well, you would have to see if the new nipples fit on the old bottles. Maybe buy one and try it... if it works, then buy a bunch.
