how long did it take to transition fully from bottle to sippy cup? at what age were your babies when you did it?

mine runs around with a sippy cup and drinks juice or water from it - he is 1yr old - but for formula/milk we still use the bottle and he drinks much more efficiently from that

he seems to not want his formula/milk from the sippy - i am guessing that is normal and just will take time

My youngest was that way! Untill one day my husband was home and he said enough was enough because I had one load of laundry that was just her sheets where she had figured out how to spill the spill-proof bottle. Well Against my wishes he put her down for a nap that day and gave her a sipy with milk when he laid her down. She fell asleep he took the sippy out and now she doesnt use bottles. So i guess simply you are giving the choice so take the choice away and see what happens. Worked for me lol

at 5 months old we started my daughter on a sippy, we give her juice, water, and a little chocolate soy milk, because it is lactose free and she is only 10 months old. her first birthday her bottle will go when the formula does. thats just how we feel. we also never used a binky.

My son was totally off the bottle by a year....well we threw them all away on his first birthday. He was mostly off them by 10 months. If you stop giving him the option he will drink from what you hand him. They should be off them by a year anyways because of their teeth development as well as thier motor skills and what not.
