Bottle Weaning

I am wanting some advice please, my Son is 2 1/2 and is still wanting a bottle at bedtime i have tried everything from a sippy cup to letting him pick his own cup and even giving him a drink of milk in a cup before bed and nothing works, he is a very very bad sleeper and has been since birth, he will only go back off if he has his bottle in his hand...Any advice would be appreciated as now im thinking cold turkey is the way to do it but this would be very distressing for him x

My 19 month old was the exact same, he never slept unless he had a bottle in his hand. He was like that from birth and I was like a zombie walking around on only 4 hours sleep. I tried all the things you have and the only thing that worked was going cold turkey, I was dreading it cos like you didn't i want to stress my baby out. After only a couple of nights he was fine and he now sleeps 12 hours, it was the best thing I have ever done. Good luck

I would just throw them away. It is habit and until they are out of the house he will want to continue with the habit. Put a sippy cup of WATER by his bed and just leave it at that. At first it will be hard as you are changing the habit. But once the habit is change my guess is that he will sleep better then he did when he had the bottle.
