Cabin Fever

I was recently pregnant for 17 months- 2 babies back to back, my oldest now 1 yr. and my youngest now 4 months. They are ten months apart. You can imagine I don't get out much. Sometimes I don't step foot outside my house until Sunday (I go to church and spend most of the time in the hallway with one of my two babies). We only have one car, my husband has school and work, and I rarely have a moment to myself. We can't afford a babysitter right now, and my husband gets this sick look on his face anytime I ask if he can watch the babies (he usually has to do homework or go out himself anyway). I'm starting to feel like hired help (except the help gets to go home for a break)more than a mom, a wife, or a beautiful woman. I spend most days covered in pieces of food, vomit, drool, and cleaner. I love getting dressed up and going out, which doesn't happen even if I have the time because my husband would rather sit on the couch and watch t.v. or a movie. I'm feeling anxious and irritable and always close to tears when someone leaves the house, wishing it were me. I love my babies and my family, and I know this is just a small phase of life, all too soon they will be in school. I just wanted to know there was someone else who feels like I do. Thanks!

Hang in there sweetie! Like you said they'll be in school soon enough. This will only last for a short time (@ least that's what I tell myself). This is the 2nd time in my life I'm a stay home mom, our boys are 12 years apart. I don't get out much either but I always remind myself of how important it is to be home & watching my baby grow & be there for everything. I feel isolated & alone a lot, sometimes jealous that my husband gets to go out (even if it's to work) but he has a lot of pressure on him to provide for the 4 of us. Do you have some family members or friends that'll come watch your babies just so you can get out for a little bit? It's hard, exhausting & seems neverending but soon you'll be wishing your babies where little again! (:
