Hi, my daughter is turning 1 on the 19th and I would love some help from you mommies on cheap party favors for her party. The people attending are pretty much all adults. I am a stay at home mom therefore money is tight and I would like to make them to personalize for our guests but I am not coming up with any ideas. Please help me :)

What about a cd each of your baby's 1st yr. If you made cupcakes you could print little pictures of your little princess & make little flags for each cupcake.

Hmmm...when I first clicked the link I was going to say that most dollar stores have cute coloring books and crayons are pretty cheap. But you have adults. You can make photo cards at Walgreens for about $0.15 each. Put a picture of your daughter on it and make the caption say something like, "Thanks for sharing my first birthday!" I love having pictures of my nieces and nephews and friends' kids to hang on my refrigerator.

Do you have a hobby lobby near you? Or a Michaels? They have tons of little wooden cut outs that you could easily spray paint and add glitter or sequins. Just the other day they had little princess crowns. You could paint them and stud them with little fake diamonds and write with a paint pen the names. You also could do your own party hats. Or your own birthday banner. Sharpie makes these huge tipped markers in many colors that are so easy to paint and make letters with and they are thick! If everyone there is adults more than likely they are grandparents and aunts and uncles/ friends. I am planning for my son's first birthday to make a powerpoint presentation of different video clips and pictures highlighting his first year. You can put it to music also. Then just use a paint pen or your printer to write/type a cute DVD/CD cover to give as favors to special family members. I know some of this may sound crazy. I have been brainstorming about what to do for my son's first birthday!
