Thank you so much. The laywer that he was talking to said it want much that he could really do and Me being me felt like he needed to get a second opinion anyway because a father has just as much rights as the mother. You are exactly right the child doesnt have to know just hope we all get along. Is it wrong for me to want to have a talk with the mom to stop a issue that we have or just leave it alone because if I did I feel il be ok even if we dont agree I got it off my chest instead of holding it in.

He should have filed when the ex moved away, but it's probably too late now.

I would definitely strongly suggest he talk to a lawyer and get court orders. This is actually the best thing for the child because it means mum can't use her as a pawn and there will be no arguments around visitation. A court order shouldn't be putting his daughter through anything unless the adults involved decide to do that to her, She doesn't even need to know that anything is going on.

Yes, he is on child support in North Carolina and wants it to stay in North Carolina but the mother stays in Virgina now and is talking about switching it to virgina and he wants it to stay in north carolina yes he see his daughter but everytime something dont go the mother way she tries to keep the child away from him and he has joint custody just started a new job and its hard for him to get off of work to go back in forth to court as far as him trying to keep the child support the same and not let it go up because the new job pays more. He do not have a court order but I have been telling him to get one but he doesnt want to put his daughter through so much since she already have been asking alot of question like why she cant live with him why she can only stay a couple days like that he do not want to take the child from her mother because she needs her ma.

I'm confused as to how an ex asking for child support is throwing it in anyone's face. Is he paying child support? Is he visiting his child? Does he have a court order spelling out custody and visitation? If your answer is no to any of these questions, then he needs to do something about it.
