My husband wants to legally adopt my son. I have no idea on how to go upon this? He was adopted my his stepfather but there is a difference. My husbands biological father was on the birth certificate, my son's isn't. Do you think that could make things easier? So confused!! How do we do this?!?

The only way to find out is to go to your nearest courthouse and go to the clerk's office. There you can ask for adoption filing papers (there may be a cost for the packet) but they will tell you. If you can't afford it you can ask to have a judge waive the fees if you fit the icome criteria guidelines. Anyway the clerk's office is not allowed to give legal advice but usually they will help point you in the right direction. Hope it helps!
