We found a clock by Kidsleep for our little guy that has worked fantastically. This is basically how it works:
"The Kidsleep product works by showing children in a simple, easy-to-understand way when it is time for them to get up, and when they should be staying in bed. When the child wakes up they simply look at the clock face - and the lit image on it will either show a sleeping animal (time to go back to sleep!) or a wide-awake animal (time to get up!)."
It's cute and fun if nothing else - and it can be used as a regular alarm clock as the child gets older.

What do you do when she wakes? If you are giving her attention she will continue to get up. It becomes a habit. Put a stairgate on her room to contain her. If she shouts for you pick her up put her into bed and walk out. No eye contact no verbal. She should get the message that mum does not want to play or chat in the early hours of the morning and get really bored. Children hate to be ignored so this habit should break quickly. At the age of two you could also put a clock in her room and tellher the big hand has to be on the 12 and the little hand on the 7 before you get out of bed. She may not understand now but she soon will. Praise her for sleeping through the night when it does happen but ignore her if she gives you a bad night of getting up and down. Do not tell her off just ignore the subject. Give it a try. xx
