I know this sounds really odd, but think twice about it before you say no. If it were my baby, I would take him/her to the chiropractor. I absolutely love my chiropractor and take my kids regularly. Giving birth causes a lot of stress to the baby's body and getting an adjustment just might make all the difference for both of you! Most chiropractors know how to adjust the nervous system as well as the bones, which is a big deal for a little person!

So feel your pain hun! Its such a hard time on a mummy when her baby is so upset. Is he feeding well and sleeping well? Weleda Colic Powder is a homeopathic remedy, also could try some probiotics for infants.. it puts the good bacteria in to their tummys. They were the ones I found really helpful for my son. All the best, stay strong x

Gripe water did wonders for my youngest. You can get it at Wal-mart, Wallgreens, or health food stores.

Check out Dr Harvey Karps book or DVD "The Happiest Baby on the Block" Briefly, it tells you aboutt the 5 S's. Swaddle, position the baby on their side/stomach, shake (not reatlly shake, but more of a gentle jiggle kinda like jello), Shush (saying shhhhh in the babies ear to match thhe intensity of the cry), and suckle. Combinin these 5 willl usually calm the baby. Also first and foremost, make certain with doctors that your baby doesn't have a medical issue like acid reflux. My daughter was imposibly colicky. White noise, the above mentioned S's,, and an exercise ball or sling were the only thing used all together would help. With the sling as long as i walking around she was happy, or sitting on the excersize ball bouncing up and down. If you aren't familiar with the exercise balls, they make stabilizing bases so you don't have the fear of falling with baby in your arms. The most important thing to her was to have warm pressure on her stomach and movement siimilar to that of in utero movement. The constantly having to move was torturous and painful at times but it certainly did help lose some of that pregnancy weight. ;)

My son had colic and nothing helped. He had a milk protein allergy too. They make colic tabblets like the teething tablets. i used those. They switched his formula to neutramigen and it worked some too. I would also warm up a hand towel in the microwave and put it on his belly and then wrap a recieving blanket around his stomache really tight and he didnt cry as long as it was on him. Good luck. I did it on my own so I feel sorry for you.

I'm using Neocate. He has a milk protein allergy (this could be where the colic started) I just bought Colic Calm. Has anyone even used it? The car seat seems to work, though my arm is a little sore from carrying it around all day. Other than that, he eats great and he sleeps good at night.

Sounds insane but it works

My middle child had colic. It was tough to go through. What have you all tried to soothe him?
