Babies magic tea is an organic herbal supplement to relieve infants from constipation and tummy ache. Fennel seeds and cumin are the ingredients which are preservative-free and have soothing effects for constipation, gas pain and all other tummy related problems for all ages.

When I started cereal and foods my son was constipated for 4 days... we had to give him miralax to help but once he had a BM we started feeding him prunes every other day and it really helped keep him moving.

you can try what i have done for my little one when she was a baby and dilute prune juice in waterand make sure that you chill it so that the taste of the prune juice is not as strong. i would only give your baby half an ounce of this at the most otherwise things could get pretty messy.if half an ounce does not work then try a full ounce. if your baby flat out refuses prune juice you can also try to give him apple juice

When my son started baby food and couldn't poo the doctor had my put 1 to 3 TBSP of dark karol syrup in his bottles. Within about a day or 2 he was back to hisself and pooing..

If youre JUST starting out, his body is adjusting... there's a lot of fiber in the cereal. i had this problem, too! Add pears, prunes, or peaches to the cereal (these fruits help soften stools). Make sure the cereal is really runny when you start out, once his insides adjust, you can make it a thicker consistency.

Instead of giving him any kind of medication, this is what I did with mine. When he got constipated, he refused any kind of food. The doc recommended he have just green veggies and so I put peas or green beans baby food in a medicine dropper and for some strange reason he didn't mind being fed that way. 1/2 a can of veggies = 10 min later he produced! I would highly recommend lowering the amount of the other food you are giving him and increasing the amount of green veggies. At some point you will figure out how much he needs. My son needed a can of green veggies everyday and for the other serving I alternated yellow veggies and a fruit. He did fine eating from a spoon when he wasn't constipated. I never gave him any kind of syrup... good heavens! Docs also will recommend trying baby oat cereal instead of rice cereal *depending on how old your baby is* (check with them first). If your son becomes seriously blocked (mucus or blood or extreme pain) you might have to take him in anyway - a baby suppository works well in those cases. Its just a small piece of glycerin (a food-based substance) that melts and helps things come out better.

If bub is on solids then pureed pear, apple or prunes will do the trick - bub should go within a matter of hours!

hey how are you? Well my son is only 6 weeks old and when he gets constipated i give him syrup Karo its corn syrup. Basically you put it in his water and you put a bit inside not too much cause it has a lot of sugar. Then give it a little while and he should poop. If he doesnt like it with water just put it in his milk. This works for me. He poops a lot that same day. I got this remedy from my mom. We use it a lot in the spanish countries. You can get this in Walmart in the syrup section, it cost about 3 dollars. Dont give him too much though because he can get diarrhea. Give it to him every other day

my son was constantly constipated when he was a baby. pear/apple/prune juice. rub his stomach with light pressure counter-clockwise. move his legs like hes riding a bicycle. take his temp. and if none of those work you can buy a laxative for infants but you might want to talk to his doctor. GOOD LUCK!!! p.s. rubbing his tummy counter-clockwise every day can help prevent constipation too!!!

Also probiotics help. My son takes them and goes at the same time every day! My youngest son was really constipated when he was about a month old, so I called the hospital and a nurse told me to get some suppositories from the drug store and break one open and stick it in (his rectum). It helped loosen it enough to get it out. It was gross but when your baby is hurting, you'll do whatever it takes to make him feel better! :)

It is not wonder that rice cereal causes constipation since it is recommend to give an infant rice water (water that has rce cooked in it) to stop diarrhea. Bananas are also used as a 'binder' so don't use that for the fruit in baby's cereal or it will have the opposite effect as well. Since fruit in it is a good idea, I just used fruit juice for the liquid to water down the cereal instead of water. I also would buy an entire container of prunes, drain off the juice, puree them and then pour it in an ice cube tray in the right portions to freeze. As soon as they are frozen, dump them in a freezer bag and it is ready at hand to thaw and feed the baby.

My daughter LOVES prunes so about 2 times a week i feed her a small tub of it. Then she "cleans out" and i feel that this is good.

Rice and oatmeal cereals will often cause a lot of constipation to begin with. I always added some sort of fruit or veg to the cereal and that worked. Also as others have stated, prunes work great; I always keep 2 containers of pureed prunes in the house even though my son no longer eats purees. You never know when you'll need them!

pure apple juice, if not warm bath, moving legs like they were running up to chest and stretch out (repeat), if that does not work then after 4-5 days of constipation i would call doc and let them know all doc will give you different info but as a mom that does not like giving child med unless necessary, they will give you suppositories and they work ( cut in half ).

Oatmeal cereal sometimes helps or mix more water in with the rice. Sometimes I mixed a little fruit in with the rice..talk to your doctor first to ok that. It helped loosen things up. Good luck.

Well, Baby food actually helped my daughter. To keep her regular we've always had to give her juice. In the cases of extreme constipation (when shes really upset) we give her a small portion of prunes and it cleans her right out! Hope it helps, good luck!
