Could this indicate a peanut allergy?

Any nursing moms had trouble with eating peanut butter? I've had an abnormally large amount of peanut butter the last couple of days (I might also add that I've just changed to the "natural" type), and my 5-month old had diarrhea & diaper rash yesterday. Also, I noticed that anywhere spit-up got on her skin (she's always had reflux pretty bad), it made her super red - even if it was just a tiny bit that soaked through her clothes that didn't stay on long at all before I wiped it off.

Thanks, Denise! Did you just tell your pediatrician you wanted allergy testing?

I would say that it could be an indicator. My son is allergic to 3 tree nuts. The first signs of an allergy were hives and I didn't really think much of it. A few years passed and then he ate a pie with walnuts and his lips swelled up and I had him tested. Sure enough he tested possitive and he now has to carry an epipen. The signs of allergies usually show up slight and gradual and we don't really take note. As your child is exposed more to the food the signs get more sever. I would say that this is possibly an early sign and I would get your child tested to be on the safe side.
