My 8 1/2 month old daughter has a very late bedtime of 11pm. This seems to be the only way she'll sleep through the night. However I would like to start making her bedtime a little earlier in the near future, to around 8-9ish. But I'm not sure how to start the process and keep her sleeping through the night. Any advice?

what time does she have her last nap? try to make her last nap end by 5 and then feed her about 8- wait about an hour to digest, and then put her down at 9....she might cry it out for a few days, but its totally normal- just remind yourself that we are not born knowing how to sleep- its a learned behavior. I have a 7 month old who i just changed from a 1030 bedtime to a 830 bedtime and he does fine as long as i feed him before bed- he sleeps til about 7 in the am.
