Curious 1 Year Old

My daughter is a very curious little girl. She's not interested in her toys at all and doesn't care for cartoons in the least. She wants to know what I am doing at all times and only wants to do what I am doing. She's curious as to how things work and why( figured out the safety locks at 9 months old) which I think it great. I don't want to discourage her in any way but I am finding it difficult to get anything done. Any advice on how to help her become more independent? She's been like this since birth.

Occupy and engage her when it's possible. When you clean the bathroom, put her in the tub to play. Give her a bucket and a brush/sponge similar to what you're using and tell her she can clean the tub. When you fold laundry show her how socks match or don't match. When you take things out of the washer and put them in the drier give her the little stuff to put in the drier. When you make supper let her stand on a chair at the sink and "wash" carrots and potatoes. When you bake let her dump the ingredients in the bowl.

And then plan the stuff you need to do when she has a nap or after she goes to bed.
