I understand starting your car at 730 am to let it warm up, but it is NOT necessary to turn your stereo system on and let it bang, rattle my windows, and everything else until 8 am. Now my little ones are wide awake and cranky!!!! If I have to wake up to this again I will rip the wires out of your car for your stereo :). Thank you!!!

I know he cant read this but it makes me feel so much better to get this off my chest!!! He has done this 3 days in a row and Im about to lose it!!!

Maybe leave a note with a smile face, or maybe bring him out a paper cup of coffee (in your bathrobe, slippers, scarf, coat and mittens to show him how put out you are) and ask him to not have his music on so loud. If those nice things don't work, call the police on him about the noise disturbance.

LOL I am Definitely going to have to tell him to tell the guy that! I understand people like their stereos and stuff and I dont normally have a problem with it. But when its 730 am and waking my kids up it is a bit ridiculous!!!!

You can also have your boyfriend point out that to crank his stereo before it is warmed up makes it ALOT more likely that he will break his speakers by pushing them when they are fragile, cold, & most importantly stiff. If he doesn't blow a speaker doing this they will still most likely break MUCH sooner.

However if he waits to turn up his tunes till his car is warm enough that he is leaving in it, this is MUCH more gentle on his system.

This from my husband who has been installing car radios, sometimes as part of his job, for YEARS, part of that time being in a climate where we had to let our cars warm up at least 15 minutes every morning.

Maybe you can reach him on the "Oh, I could break my s*#t!" level if the whole your neighbors are going to hate you soon level doesn't work. ;)

Oh my gosh I think the dogs would be worse!!!! Im going to have my boyfriend go over there today when the guy gets home. He has a really loud exhaust too, and every night at midnight he revs it up three times then takes off somewhere as loud as he can. I normally just complain to myself about that but now that he is doing this in the mornings too something has to be done!!!!

I was thinking that he was probably just self-absorbed and not a total asshat. I'm glad that mentioning it to him has seemed to solve the problem.

oh to be a college student again! to have no cares in the world and have no clue of what's going on around them! if you're not comfortable approaching him in person, leave a note on his car while it's warming up. be nice. he probably doesnt have a clue that everyone else around him are trying to sleep. sometimes all it takes is a nice explanation. If he does it again and again, then vent away, my friend.... to his face!

Why not just go next door and politely ask him to please turn his stereo down because it wakes up your kids? He probably never thought about it.

I hate people and their loud music! Our neighbours have piss ups on weeknights I don't care if they have music but I don't need to hear the lyrics from 5 houses away in my room with the door shut and aircon on.

I would probably stick my head out the door and say something about the fact that your kids will wake up. He might understand.

HAHAHA!

1.) Your lucky your child sleeps that late!

2.) I would kindly leave a note on his car that you would like him to turn down his music.

I would've thrilled if my kids EVER slept until 7, that said, totally rude and should be dealt with.
