It is good that you are dilating slowly. Your body is working on getting ready for labor. I did the same for my third 1 cm next check up 1.5, 2 etc. Then woke up at 8 am in the morning and holy sh-- baby born 9:38am.

how far along are you?
How far apart are your contractions?
Is this your first?
I'd advise getting some sleep & something to eat.
Labor takes a lot of energy and if your are low on energy it drags on.
Once you do that walk and squat
Also relax, being stressed keeps muscles tight.

When I got induced I was only dilating 1cm an hour so I got the epidural and I had her 30 minutes later. I believe it was just because my body was able to relax. The contractions had me so tensed up I couldn't get her down more. So try to relax as much as possible and take it one contraction at a time. Maybe switch your position squatting position worked for my cousin with all 3 of her children natural!

Relaxation is the key! My first 2 children were born after very very long labors, and weeks in the hospital (due to a kidney condition that I have). My 3rd baby I went through labor at home, drove to the hospital at the last possible moment. Only about 6 hrs of labor at home, and she was born 30 minutes after I arrived at the hospital. My point here is, stop stressing about it, how dilated you are and all that. Honestly your body knows when it's ready, and nature will take over when it's time.

at 37 almost 38 weeks, you still have some time for your body to prep and dialate. I recommend getting as much rest as you can. when I was in labor I was able to take a nap after the epidural and dialated from a 6 to a 10 in an hour. I didn't really dialate at all until the second stage of labor for the most part, your body may wait until "go time" to really jump those centimeters. good luck!
