Diaper rash

My granddaughter has been having a bad rash on her diaper area, her doctor said its a yeast rash, have her nystatin ointment, but it's really not getting better it's big red dots and a few of them look like ant bites. What can we use to get rid of this it itches her also

Can you try leaving her diaper less for a few hours a day...that all depends on her age of course.

I give my daughter a bath in baking soda when I see a slight redness...it works miracles!!!

if they are disposable diapers, there is also a possibility that your granddaughter is allergic to that brand of diaper.

desitin was always our choice but keep her without a diaper (air dry) for a while too.

I am more naturally inclined, use pure virgin coconut oil, leaving the baby out of the diaper is a great idea as well as wrapping her in a cloth diaper @ least while she's in the house will help a great deal! Coconut oil was my life saver and I used it often as preventative!
