My hubby and I tried for 16 months on our own, then found that I had endometriosis and PCOS, and my hubby had a male factor as well. 6 failed clomid/IUI attempts, and we gave it up for 1 year. Chose another doctor to see, and tried IVF, worked on the first try, b/g twins now 10 months old! 3 years of heartbreak and dissappointment, but ended in double joy.

My son was conceived the first month that my husband and I started trying. Once he turned one we felt like it was time to start trying to have another baby. Needless to say my son now 2 1/2 and we still havent had any luck conceiving again. I think I took it for granted that I could get pregnant so easily. Hopefully one day God blesses me with another child.

No problems conceiving. Our first took about 1 1/2 months to conceive. The second was a surprise, forgot to fill BC pills for one month...oops. Expecting 3rd now and she was also conceived the first month off of the pill. Guess I am fertile!?!?!?!? Like Becky said, my heart goes out to those who have trouble conceiving and would give some of my fertility if I could

ZERO problems here - both pregnancies were a surprise to me. However I had devastating morning sickness and had to be hospitalized many times. I was sick for all of my pregnancy. Conceiving is easy but the pregnancy for me is a life threatening thing.

If I could give fertility as a gift I would give it to those who really need it. Minus the severe illness I go through - I would never wish that on anybody. My heart breaks when I hear of couples who are infertile and/or have problems conceiving. My heart goes out to you!

I think parenthood is one of the greatest adventures that life has to offer and I love my kids dearly.

I have PCOS. We were told by the MD that we couldn't have a child unless we did ICSI In Vitro 8 yrs ago. His motility and count was an issue as well. Some how, I ended up pregnant and have a beautiful 10 mo old daughter. We never tried to conceive based on the dr's diagnosis 8 yrs ago, and it miracously happened. I was SO sick of hearing of other girl's "miracle" baby stories, but it did happen to me. Can't say I want another one, but am SO thankful for her.

NO! I have "unexplained infertility", and we tried for 14 yrs before we had a baby. That included 3 known miscarriages, 2 ectopic pregnancies, 7 IVF attempts and finally a surrogate. But let me tell you...it was all worth it to end up where we are with our beautiful twin miracles. Even though we would love to have another, and we do keep hoping, I haven't even gotten pregnant now for over 10 yrs. Frustrating since we still don't have a definite reason for the infertility.

I am in the same boat. I also have PCOS and I had cancer when I was a child and some of the chemo I took was supposed to make me infertile. We tried for 5 years. It was so heartbreaking and disappointing each month. All I ever wanted was to be a mother. My best friend called and said she was pregnant I was devestated, I wanted to have a baby so bad and I had a really hard time being happy for her. We did fertility drugs, clomid, for a while with no results and I got frustrated and stopped taking them. 6 months later we decided to try the drugs again. I was to go back to the fertility doc on January 14, 2008 but on January 10, 2008 my husband came home from work with a pregnancy test and told me to take it, I told him he was nuts and went in and peed on the stick. When we first looked at it there was only one line so I sat it down went in and cried and a little while later he asked if I had thrown the test away and I said no. I went into the bathroom to get the test, looked down and started screaming....we hadn't waited long enough and while I was having a breakdown about not having a baby line number 2 appeared!!! We over the moon happy. Lily Grace was born Sept.9, 2008 and is my little miracle baby in every sense of the word. We want to have another and have been trying for about a year and so far no luck. If we have another that would be amazing but I know with my history it probably isn't in the cards so I am enjoying my daughter to the fullest!!!! Good luck to you!!
