If so, what do you do to help them get sleepy and stay asleep? I have 3 kids, My oldest is 5, my middle child is 2 and our baby will be 3 months old on the 18th. And all of them seem to fight to go to sleep. Is there any way of relaxing them to take naps and go to bed at night. Thoughts or ideas would be great!

Thanks so much!

Hi Jennifer, I started cutting out my son's naps and putting him to bed earlier when he was having a hard time going to sleep at night and he sleeps much better now.  Also, eliminating hidden sugars from their diet during the day (juices, etc.), lots of exercise before we start our bedtime routine, and as my doctor put it, I had to "close down the mommy buffet" at night and stop going in his room to help him.  He said if I am available, he will keep finding a reason to get up.  Hope this helps!  You have a beautiful family picture!

Hey! Just one little tidbit that seems to help me is consistency. We start our bedtime "ritual" about an hour before bedtime so they can prepare and know what is coming! If they share a room (mine do) it is harder. I also play classical music real low and that relaxes them too!! Good luck.
