YES. It's not that I can't do it it's that I DON'T WANT TO do the dishes or fold washing all fucking day. Or vacuum 100 times a week.

right about now most definitely! My son didn't want to go for a nap and a friend showed up and then my daughter got up from HER nap and i really needed one today! I'm utterly exhausted and just trying to keep my kids out of harms way. At 8 months he should be ready for solids that might help with him sleeping for longer periods at night and most definitely if it's a new thing he may be teething. That being said With both my kids at 8 months i said i'd had enough and they could sleep through the night. With my son it took 3 nights of the Ferber method (CIO) and with my daughter it only took one. They were howver both on 3 meals of solids a day at that point. And Katherine nursing can become a habit just like anything. Some people have a habit of eating when they are tired or upset. Some kids will nurse simply because they can. They come over for a suck or two then walk away, then come back for another suck or two. At this age it can become a habit to wake up during the night to nurse even though it may not be nutritionally necessary. Although chances are he's teething or actually hungry and does need it. It really depends on the child.

Nursing is not a habit. He is used to it. You decided to nurse, which is great and if that's what calms him down, continue to do so. Maybe take him in your bed for a little while so you can sleep and he can sleep. I'm ALL for co-sleeping.

He probably is teething too and I would recommend you continue breastfeeding him to soothe him. That is his only source of food right now correct? He may be hungry. It's not unusual for an 8 month old to do this.

am a stay home to my 8 month old...he seems to be getting cranky lately....probably due to teething...he keeps getting up at night screaming n crying...carrying n rocking does not seem to help, the only way is to nurse him... am so worried tat it will be a habit and hinder my hope of him sleeping thru soon.,,

daily! lol I think it is normal when things get overwhelming to feel like you can't keep up. If it continues you might want to see someone to make sure it isn't a hormonal thing. Hang in there mama!
