let me ask you if when you change her clothes does she freak when her shirt is on her face and pull it off. if she does id say shes fine to use whatever you want provided shes on her side or back she should be able to pull if off if its too close to her face.

i use a blanket. and she ALWAYS pulls blankets on her face. she likes to rub the fleece on her face to sleep, i know its we bought one of those blanket toys for her face, and only use breathable blankets to cover her up with.

We swaddled when they were real little, but by about a month, we were using a blanket. I just put them in warm jammies and put a light weight blanket at their waist. Neither of my boys ever pulled it over their heads, however, my 3 1/2 year old now sleeps with his comforter over his head :) I think you should do whatever you feel comfortable doing, no sense in you losing sleep because your worried about you baby! Good Luck!

My 7 month old son only sleeps with his blanket pulled over his head. He has a quilt so it is stiffer and doesn't lay so heavily on his face.

In summer i use a light blanket, but in winter i use the sleeping bag and a blanket. My daughter has never pulled anything over her head. Plus where I am it get very cold in winter, its the end of summer a the moment and she was on 7 degrees yesterday morning so winter is going to be a bad one i think :)
