Do you yell "stop" just seconds before the injury!?!?

Does this happen to you?!?! The kids are playing and you sense the danger and you yell "stop, someone is going to get hurt." And BAAAAMM! then it happens, someone is hurt. What should I do? My first impulse is to say "see, I told you!"

I used to do this all the time with my friends, never mind doing it now with my kids XD

I kinda DO say *see, I told you!* when it ends up happening, especially after there have been repeated warnings to my kids.

Generally it's something like *get down off of there. You're going to fall and get hurt*

*WHAM* *ooooowwwww "tears"*

*I told you you were going to fall/hurt yourself. What did we learn?*

And then I usually go through the quick lesson of why we don't stand, walk on, bounce on, etc whatever they were standing, walking, bouncing on, or why we don't run around the island in the kitchen (perfect head level XD) or do whatever assortment of bad ideas they've had on that particular day.

My kids are only 3.5 and 1.5 though, so I look at it as a lesson opportunity on why it might be a good idea to listen to mom. When they hit their teen years though. . .I'm guess I probably won't be nearly as nice when they do some stupid stunt and end up with a minor injury XD I fully admit I'll probably sit and laugh at them after giving them a warning and pull out the full range of *I told you so!* :P
